JIMMIE JACK ROWE, 78, of Chesapeake, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, W.Va. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He proudly served his country in the Air Force during Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Hazel Rowe; brothers, Billy Ray (Martha) Rowe and Don Rowe; and sister, Jo (Donald) Adkins. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bonnie Rowe; two sons, Mike (Susan) Rowe of Mechanicsville, Va., and Tim (Beth) Rowe of St. Paris, Ohio; a daughter, Lisa (Rick) Morris of Proctorville, Ohio; grandchildren, Aaron (Ali) Rowe, Chris Rowe, Tara and Kyle Sutherland, Timothy (Casie) Rowe, Garret (Angela) Rowe, Ryan (Lexy) Rowe, Jordan Rowe, Ryan (Sammie) Wheeler and Alli Penix; eleven great-grandchildren, with two more on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Those who knew him know that he always put God and his family first. He always had a smile and a hug for everyone. He was a retired truck driver. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, where he has served as Sunday School Superintendent, Teacher, Deacon and Choir Director. He loved to watch and Cheer for “his girls” on the Lady Dragons Basketball Team. He leaves behind an amazing testimony. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Proctorville VFW Post 6878 will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021, at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.
