Thank you for saving Kathmandu’s honor by feeding people: NC leader Thapa

KATHMANDU: At a time when Kathmandu Metropolitan City has been preparing to restrict the groups and organizations feeding free of cost to the pandemic-struck poor people in Kathmandu thinking it has shown the authority inefficient and visionless, NC leader and lawmaker Gagan Thapa has appreciated the groups helping the poor with food.

Earlier, Kathmandu Metropolitan authority had declared it would restrict the campaign of feeding the poor at Tundikhel as ‘it turned to be an eyesore’.

However, the public is irate at the authority’s interpretation of the deed and have lambasted the Metropolitan authority for the same.

Echoing with the public protest, young and influencing leader of Nepali Congress Thapa has thanked the groups helping the pandemic struck poor with food.

“I am thankful to the benevolent group involved in feeding the pandemic struck poor,” Lawmaker Thapa has written on his social media wall on Tuesday, “ I, the people’s representative of Kathmandu, appreciate the hands involved in feeding these needy and would like to request to carry it on ahead.”

He has thanked the group for saving the honor of Kathmandu city by saving people from starvation.
