IRONDALE — The Irondale United Methodist Church is having a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at the church located on Grant Street from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday.

It is a drive-through dinner only. The menu will include spaghetti and sauce, tossed salad and dessert, all for a donation to the church. For information, phone (330) 532-3790 the day of the dinner.

Harrison County CWC getting ready for Christmas items sale

HOPEDALE — The Harrison County Catholic Women’s Club will be sponsoring its 19th-annual CWC used Christmas items sale over the course of two weekends in November.

It will be held at Sacred Heart Church Hall in Hopedale and is planned for Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Nov. 13 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and on Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

For information call (740) 937-2062 or (740) 937-2941. Because of COVID-19 precautions, attendees are urged to abide by established guidelines, wearing masks and social distancing.

Jefferson County Retired Teachers cancel meeting

WINTERSVILLE — The Jefferson County Teachers Association had planned to meet Nov. 10 at Wintersville United Methodist Church but has elected to cancel that gathering, due to low reservations and COVID-19 concerns. The announcement was made by Dave Nicholson, JCRTA president.

World Community Day

to be observed on Friday

WEIRTON — World Community Day, sponsored by Church Women United of Weirton, will be observed at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Shiloh Apostolic Faith Assembly Church, located at 3000 Weir Ave.

The theme will be “2020 Vision for the Future — Resolve to Love.” The project will be snacks for the afterschool program at the Weirton Christian Center. Following the celebration, a tea will be held in the fellowship hall. For information, contact Helen Jeter, Rebecca “Tish” Turner or Corliss Brown.
