Two drivers were injured, one seriously, when an SUV and pickup truck collided at about 12:15 p.m. Sunday in the Town of Stafford, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Ryan T. Ledermann, 17, of Webster, and Charles P. Fales, 56, of Batavia, were taken by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Ledermann was seriously injured, according to the report, while Fales had minor injuries.

Deputies said a westbound 2017 Honda H-RV driven by Ledermann was attempting to pass a tractor trailer truck on Route 33 near Griswold Road when it struck the front driver side of an oncoming 2011 Dodge pickup truck driven by Fales.

Ledermann was extricated from his vehicle by volunteers from the Town of Stafford Fire Department. An investigation into the accident is continuing.
